Easy accessibility compliance with EditLive! rich text editing for IBM Web Content Manager

June 21, 2013Damien FitzpatrickProduct Updates

EditLive! is a rich text editing tool that enables your authors to address accessibility compliance issues before their content is published in IBM Web Content Manager (WCM).  It’s just like spell checking.  As you type, accessibility compliance checks for images missing alternative text, inaccessible tables and other issues.

Every author knows that creating accessible tables is no easy feat.  Until EditLive!, that is.  With EditLive!’s advanced capabilities, producing accessible tables becomes effortless:

  • An accessibility as-you-type feature highlights problem tables.
  • With one click, the convert to percentage widths feature makes relative-sized tables.
  • The table accessibility inspector and table accessibility wizard functions assist authors in applying the proper header and data cell relationships.

Also available is an accessibility reporting service to inspect your content and provide an error report.

EditLive! for IBM Web Content Manager is compatible with assistive technologies such as the JAWS screen reader from Freedom Scientific.
