How the EditLive! 9 HTML Editor Embeds Social Media

September 17, 2013Damien FitzpatrickGeneral

With the much anticipated release of the EditLive! 9 HTML editor, Ephox takes embedding social media content to new levels. EditLive! 9 lets content authors create rich, interactive content on their blogs, wikis, websites and more – quickly and easily!

This Ephox solution is like no other WYSIWYG HTML editor.

Using an open standard API (e.g., oEmbed), EditLive! 9 allows you to embed photos, videos and other rich media content from social media sites by simply copying and pasting a URL into the HTML editor. Having to know HTML code for embedding this content has become a thing of the past.

Now, authors don’t have to know code or manually reformat the content in any way.  That means you can quickly repurpose content from YouTube, Vimeo, SlideShare, Instagram, Google Maps and more. And, that will mean your visitors are more likely to stay on your site longer!

In addition to incorporating easy-to-use embedding of social media content, EditLive! 9 offers tons of extra features.  Developers, marketers and other users can enhance content development with support for HMTL5, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, new APIs and much more.

For a more detailed description of new features and capabilities, continue to read the Ephox Blog or visit the EditLive! 9 product pages.
